Dee-lay boss! Delay!

Alright, it's time to break the silence and report on the current state of our project. Lately a lot of folks have been asking if we met our second, January 31st, deadline. The answer is "no". So why the delay? Well, the main reason is music. Specifically the acquisition of music that can be used free-of-charge. Jeff (Producer) and I wanted local music that wasn't too cheesy. Jeff's managed to locate music from 19 bands around the Salt Lake area. We've listened to a few songs from each band via their Myspace sites and overall we've been extremely happy. Jeff is now acquiring CDs from each of the bands. Once we've amassed all of our tunes, we'll go through the process of selecting the best songs and using them in our production. Ideally we'd like eight to twelve songs. All bands/musicians will receive credit in the film in addition to links from the film's website.

I'm still assembling clips to temp music tracks, but until I can acquire the real deal, I won't be able to accurately edit the project.

So, there you have it. Not much to report, but the project is still moving forward. I will update everyone as we draw nearer to completion.

Peace.
